<subfield code="a">A new method is described which permits the continuous recording of spine movements under normal working conditions. Sensors are carried on the skin under the clothing without causing hindrance or discomfort. The signals are recorded on a portable, multi-channel miniature tape recorder which is commercially available for 24-hour recording of patients. The advantage of continuous recording is that a large number of parameters can be calculated by means of signal analysis. Results obtained for different jobs in a pilot study are presented</subfield>
