<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Les endotoxines sont des constituants complexes de la paroi des bactéries Gram négatif, dont la structure lipopolysaccharidique est maintenant connue. Leur inhalation est à l'origine de symptômes pulmonaires aigus et d'une altération de la fonction respiratoire, mais aussi de symptômes généraux. Les endotoxines sont impliquées dans la maladie des climatiseurs et des humidificateurs et dans la byssinose; mais elles touchent aussi des travailleurs des stations d'épuration des eaux usées ou d'usines de compostage des ordures ménagères, ou encore des personnels d'élevages industriels et des agriculteurs</abstract>
