Sumario: It is apparent that the findings in relation to lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and mesothelioma are strongly supportive of those from the Quebec cohort. As for laryngeal cancer, the interpretation of the associations with asbestos exposure is difficult, especially in a region where there is particularly heavy alcohol consumption, as at Balangero. But whatever the interpretation, the risk of laryngeal cancer as a result of chrysotile exposure of less than 100 x years must be considered minimal
