| 520 | $aA literature search was carried out in Medline to identify studies relating to the mortality and cancer incidence of employees working in the friction-products industry with chrysotile asbestos. Four studies were identified: a factory in the U.K., a plant in Connecticut, U.S.A., two automotive parts factories in Ontario, Canada and a factory in Tianjin, China. In all these studies the design was a historical cohort study in which a group of workers was identified from records and the vital status of each employee established at the time of study.
