<subfield code="a">In response to the 1992 Occupational Safety and Health Administration standard establishing a lower permissible exposure limit for cadmium and requiring the labeling of products containing cadmium compounds, a strategy was developed to obtain plastic processing fume data from molding operations. The data were intended to help determine whether inorganic cadmium-containing pigments volatilized at temperatures recommended for processing thermoplastic resins</subfield>
