Older workers can and want to learn: almost 40 percent of the older workers surveyed for "The Untapped Resource" had completed additional courses or training since age 50. More than half of those had done so on their own initiative because they recognize they must keep up with change to stay competitive. Attention, perception, cognition and memory do not deteriorate in most people until very late in life, according to studies reviewed by "The Untapped Resource"</subfield>
