Sumario: The author explains how simple security measures can safeguard churches from both thieves and vandals. It is hoped that safeguarding our heritage will not lead to a fortess mentality. There must be a balance between security and good management practices and allowing people free access to their churches. With the right combination, it is possible to stem the tide of theft which threatens to ruin our rich past and bright future
