Seção: ArtigosTítulo: Blood lead in pregnant women in the urban slums of Lucknow, India / Shally Awasthi... [et al.]Notas: Sumario: Objective: to determine the concentrations of blood lead in pregnant women in the slums of Lucknow, north India, a densely populated city of two million in Uttar Pradesh. The study was prompted by the fact that leaded petrol is still used in Lucknow. Also, the authors were aware that a traditional Indian eye cosmetic "surma" contains lead, and might pose a hazard for women who use it through exposure to lead. This study was part of larger ongoing study of the effect of maternal exposure to lead on neonatal birth weight and other outcomes of pregnancyRegistros relacionados: En: Occupational and environmental medicine. - London and Margate. - Vol. 53, nº 12, December 1996 ; p. 836-840Materia / lugar / evento: MedicinaGenéticaGestaciónMujeresPlomoHematologíaPlasma sanguíneoIndiaEpidemiologíaOtros autores: Awasthi, Shally Títulos secundários: Título: Occupational and environmental medicine Outras classificações: 931Direitos: In Copyright (InC)
