<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El nuevo Plan Nacional de Residuos Peligrosos del Ministerio de Obras Públicas, Transportes y Medio Ambiente, aprobado el 17 de Febrero de 1995 y consensuado con todas las Comunidades Autónomas, tiene como objetivos conseguir en los próximos cinco años una reducción efectiva en origen del 40% sobre las cifras actuales, el reciclado y la reutilización del 20% de los mismos, para que el 40% restante pueda acceder a plantas de tratamiento que hagan posible su recuperación total o parcial o su confinamiento en depósitos de seguridad</abstract>
