Notas: Sumario: The authors developed an automatic method of calculating medial axis and its flexion angles for the following purposes: to decrease personal errors caused by manual operating; to improve the reproducibility of the medial axis and its flexion angles; and to save time and trouble in order to process a large amount of data. Developement of the automatic calculation method would enable over 5000 foot outlines obtained in 1987 to be analysed.
