<abstract>Los tramos de concentración de accidentes -conocidos como tramos o puntos negros- ya tienen su antónimo, los tramos blancos, aquellos en los que no se han registrado accidentes mortales en cinco años o más consecutivos. Según un estudio en el que se han analizado más de 20.000 siniestros de circulación ocurridos en las carreteras convencionales de la red estatal entre 1997 y 2001, España cuenta con 1.868 kilómetros de tramos cuyas características técnicas han permitido salvar 120 vidas cada año</abstract>
