<abstract>Plus de dix ans après l'entrée en vigueur  en France des troisièmes directives, l'intégration du marché européen de l'assurance reste un objectif à atteindre. Le marché unique est aujourd'hui encore une réalité essentiellement juridique, les marchés nationaux étant toujours largement cloisonnés, tandis que la production législative communautaire n'a jamais été aussi abondante. Se pose dès lors la question de l'efficacité et de la pertinence de la politique de la Commission Européenne</abstract>
