<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El cambio climático, independientemente de que las causas que lo provoquen sean naturales o debidas a la acción del hombre, parece una realidad. De una forma u otra afectará a todos los sectores sociales y económicos. Relacionado con ambos se encuentra el sector asegurador. En el presente artículo se efectua un repaso de los aspectos más relevantes de la concepción del riesgo, de su posible consideración como asegurable o no , y de los efectos que sobre el sector asegurador puede tener tal riesgo. Apuntamos asimismo, a modo de conclusión, cómo este sector puede ayudar a mitigar (no sólo económicamente) los efectos del cambio</abstract>
