<abstract>El presente artículo presenta una selección de indicadores de la estructura financiera, ambiente regulatorio e institucional de una serie de paises a partir de las bases de datos elaboradas por diversas fuentes, las cuales mantienen un cierto grado de homogeneidad, permitiendo así realizar comparaciones más fiablaes entre países. El objetivo principal es intentar analiza, desde una perspectiva global, el funcionamiento de los sistemas financieros y obtener algunas claves que permitan comprender sus relaciones con la economía real</abstract>
