<abstract displayLabel="Summary">There is considerable literature dedicated to determining whether or not a majority vote rule results in a efficient provision of public services. This determination is made by comparing the median quantity demanded (the amount provided by this process) with the Lindahl quantity. This article demonstrates that this comparison can lead to erroneous conclusions.</abstract>
