Notas: Sumario: The present report documents a second worksite investigation at a large natural gas utility. In a trial attempt to make shiftwork more tolerable, certain worksites within the utility system were temporarily switched from a 5-7 day workweek with three 8 h rotating shifts to a 2-4 day workweek with two 12 h rotating shifts. After 6-10 months of the adaptation, it compared 8 h to 12 h shifts with test battery measures of performance and subjective alertness/fatigue, and with a daily questionnaire quantifying subjective reports of sleep patterns and other personal habits potentially affected by shiftworkRegistros relacionados: En: Ergonomics. - London and Washington. - Vol. 36, nº 10, October 1993 ; p. 1177-1193Materia / lugar / evento: Ergonomía Ritmo circadiano Enfermedades profesionales Biorritmos Jornada laboral Comportamiento humano Tiempos de trabajo Trabajo nocturno Trabajo por turnos Casos prácticos Empresas de servicios energéticos Gas natural Otros autores: Bonnet, Michael H.
