<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Recientemente se ha lanzado al mercado el nuevo índice FTSE4Good IBEX. Con este lanzamiento Bolsas y Mercados Españoles y FTSE Group, compañía especializada en la creación y lanzamiento de índices bursátiles, pretenden que los inversores españoles y mundiales preocupados, además de por la rentabilidad que obtienen y el riesgo que soportan en sus inversiones, por aspectos de tipo socio-medioambiental, tengan un benchmark español de referencia. Es el primer índice ético o socialmente responsable que se crea con compañías exclusivamente españolas. Sin embargo los índices sostenibles existen desde hace tiempo en otros mercados. En el presente artículo se muestra la necesidad de contar con un nuevo referente bursátil ético aproximando el fenómeno de la inversión socialmente responsable, sus principales benchmarks y su evolución tanto a nivel español como a nivel europeo</abstract>
