<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Pocos temas de carácter social habrán generado tantos ríos de tinta en los últimos años como la dependencia. Gracias a la Ley de Promoción de la Autonomía Personal y Atención a las Personas en Situación de Dependencia, que entró en vigor en 2007, esta materia pasó de ser una gran desconocida a ocupar cientos de titulares y estar en boca de todos, tanto de los expertos y profesionales como del ciudadano de a pie, que veía, por fin, cómo comenzaba a tomar forma uno de los pilares básicos del Estado del bienestar, sin el cual nuestra sociedad estaría incompleta. </abstract>
