<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El presente informe de la Federación de Aseguradores Colombianos (FASECOLDA) señala que durante el 2011 la economía colombiana evidenció un importante dinamismo alcanzando un crecimiento del 5,9%, debido principalmente al impulso del sector de minas y petróleos. Por su parte, la industria aseguradora registró un crecimiento real cercano al 11% en las primas emitidas, con una producción de $14 billones (USD 7.583,96 millones), gracias al buen desempeño de la economía, la disminución del desempleo y la expansión del crédito y el consumo. </abstract>
