<abstract displayLabel="Summary">No obstante la institución de la avería gruesa ha estado presente en el ámbito de la navegación desde hace miles de años y su aparición en el seguro de transportes (en la actualidad) es frecuente, dicha figura representativa del derecho marítimo y de los seguros es muy poco conocida por el común de los abogados, esto llevó a pensar en la idea de realizar una investigación por medio de la cual de manera simple y clara se diera a conocer esta institución.
