<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La estructura sectorial de la economía española se corresponde con la de un país que ha experimentado un fuerte proceso de terciarización. 
Si bien, a diferencia de lo que ocurre en otros países de nuestro entorno, el peso del sector industrial es muy reducido. El artículo analiza tanto esta estructura sectorial como ciertas debilidades de la economía española que se han convertido en un freno a su crecimiento potencial. Asimismo, y basándonos en las debilidades analizadas, se recogen una serie de propuestas que pueden permitir que España se sitúe entre las principales potencias económicas del mundo.</abstract>
