<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Claims management firms are increasingly encouraging holidaymakers to make compensation claims worth thousands againstresorts. The trend is becoming so common that experts are concerned it could replace whiplash claims as the latest scourge on the industry. In the the past four years, there has been a fivefold rise in gastric illness claims made against the members of the Association of British Travel Agents. The Association of British Insurers sees the rise as "alarming".</abstract>
