The International Monetary Fund estimates GDP growth at 2.0% in 2018 and projects GDP growth of 1.6% in 2019, and 1.9% in 2020. Mexico has benefited from a favorable economic environment in the US, the country's main trading partner, and strong domestic demand. However, the country is facing several potential headwinds to growth.</abstract>
