Sumario: Investor education is intended to help individuals who invest (retail investors), or are considering investing, in securities and other investment products achieve the level of financial literacy needed to make informed investment decisions. A Core Competencies Framework on Financial Literacy for Investors (the Framework) could help make this process more effective by defining the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours that retail investors should ideally exhibit.
