Notes: Sumario: Measuring the future profitability of life insurance contractsespecially those including a savings componentis one of the main issues currently discussed in finance departments, in risk management and asset management. Particularly in the current low (for long) interest environment, the methodology with its implicit assumptions and expert judgement does have a relevant impact on business decisions and, hence, also the product strategy of insurance undertakings. New approaches are therefore always inspected and challenged critically.
