520  ‎$a‎Currently the number of vehicles available in the marketplace with more sophisticated driver aids, such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assistance, self-parking capability and so on is increasing rapidly. Many new and virtually all electric or hybrid electric vehicles sold today are delivered with many of these aids. Each of these technologies represents a step along the way to the 'high automation' autonomous vehicle and this will reach its logical conclusion at the point that the 'driver' does not need to touch the controls, other than to set the destination and switch the vehicle on and off. This driver aids have already led to reductions in Insurance Group classifications and it is likely that this or a form of discounting will continue as the process reaches its logical conclusion and true 'high automation' vehicles are in the showrooms.
