Sumario: 2021 was a prosperous year for Insurtechs with global investments reaching $10.1B. This represents an increase of 38% when compared to 2021. We can observe a boom in the Insurtech market, with a new historical rise and a clear consolidation of the market. In fact, Insurtechs have received 50% of their historical funding in the last 2 years alone. In terms of the number of deals closed, there is a slight-own trend from 2019 which saw a record breaking 393 deals. The impact of COVID-19 on the economy and greater market maturity, seem like the main drivers of this reduction in the number of deals.
