<abstract displayLabel="Summary">De todos los riesgos asegurables a los que está expuesto una actividad comercial, el robo es uno de los más temidos. No es, desde luego, el supuesto que genera más percances, pero sí tiene una frecuencia lo suficientemente alta como para generar inquietud. Asimismo, el robo en comercios suele tener un coste superior al que tiene, por ejemplo, en hogares. Un robo supone, de por sí, una pérdida de beneficios, puesto que muchas veces el comerciante ha pagado por unas mercancías que le han sido sustraídas pero que, obviamente, ya no podrá vender. El robo en comercios es, pues, un cortocircuito en el proceso de generación de valor añadido.</abstract>
