<abstract displayLabel="Summary">In order to guarantee a high level of professionalism, the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) foresees minimum amounts of Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) cover and financial capacity to be held by insurance and reinsurance intermediaries. EIOPA is required to regularly review these minimum amounts and develop draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) which adapt the base amount in euro. This is a mechanical adjustment which is based on the rate of inflation</abstract>
