The region experienced increased reinsurance capacity and competition, with some markets like Japan seeing reduced renewal revenue due to higher retention and lower rates. Asian reinsurers are also focusing on climate-resilient strategies and benefiting from regulatory reforms, particularly in India. Over the past decade, they have significantly increased their non-life business abroad, especially in the US and Europe, as growth slows in domestic markets like China, Japan, and South Korea</abstract>
