It examines existing barriers related to data, governance, regulation and workforce capabilities, as well as the risks associated with the use of AI in healthcare. It presents an action framework based on four pillarsenablers, guardrails, engagement and trustworthinessand proposes a public policy checklist to guide policymakers. The document compares the level of readiness of member countries and highlights emerging good practices. Its objective is to facilitate the adoption of AI in a way that maximises health and economic benefits without compromising safety, ethics or public trust</abstract>
