<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Tras presentar brevemente los resultados de las cajas de ahorros de 1992, año especialmente difícil para el sector por la repercusión que sobre el sistema financiero ha tenido el fuerte deterioro de la coyuntura interior y exterior, el autor analiza en el presente artículo los problemas más importantes que actualmente se les presentan a las cajas, así como algunas de las estrategias que, para afrontar con éxito cada uno de ellos, se han ido poniendo en marcha a lo largo de los último años. Concluye con unas breves reflexiones mirando al futuro</abstract>
