The principal goal of the case manager is to ensure continous communication among all the parties involved. The case manager is the central source from which medical professionals, the safety director, the employee and the insurance company gain information about an employee's injury and recovery. Communication is the critical aspect of medical case management. It's important for medical professionals to provide accurate information about which employees and management can make decisions and establish realistic and productive goals</abstract>
