<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Les médecins du travail qui ont en charge le bâtiment et les travaux publics ont depuis longtemps l'impression que la population qu'ils surveillent est l'objet d'un vieillissement prématuré. Tout cela peut-il être concrètement mesuré ou n'est-ce que subjectivité ou impression non fondée? Un certain nombre de médecins du travail ont participé à l'enquête E.S.T.E.V.. Il en ressort qu'il s'agit d'une population: à expositions multiples, en mouvement permanent dans le temps et l'espace, semblant soumise à un effet de sélection: caractéristiques ayant particulièrement gêné jusqu'à présent toutes les études entreprises.
