<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La Metodología Centinela pretende, mediante la explotación de los datos de morbi-mortalidad existentes en los registros sanitarios (certificados de defunción, hospitalarios, de cáncer, etc.), detectar y vigilar la patología de "probable origen laboral". La metodología de "red de notificación Centinela" supone la participación de un conjunto de personas que de una manera activa, voluntaria y confidencial notifican sistemáticamente los datos del seguimiento. Esta red de notificación se diferencia de los sistemas de declaración obligatoria habituales en su carácter voluntario y confidencial. Esto presupone que todos los participantes en el proyecto tienen una especial motivación, lo que se traduce en una mayor calidad de la información</abstract>
