Sumario: As well as the well-recognized hazardous particulates such as silica, colliery dusts and asbestos, in vitro tests are required to evaluate potential pathogenic effects of dusts such as man-made mineral fibres, welding fumes and fibrous clay minerals, some which may be present in the domestic as well as the industrial/occupational environment
