Section: ArticlesTitle: Validity of oxygen comsumption measurement at the workplace : what are we measuring? / J. Malchaire... [et al.]Notes: Sumario: The measurement of oxygen comsumption is generally put forward as the most accurate method for estimating the work load at a given work site. A study was conducted to compare, for two groups of 12 workers, the results of oxygen comsumption measurements during a 30-min period with the data provided by a continuous recording of the heart rate aver a whole shift. Results show that the measured metabolic rates may be unrepresentative of the working situationRelated records: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 2, 1984 ; p. 189-193Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrialOxígenoConsumo de oxígenoAmbiente de trabajoFatigaMedicina laboralFisiologíaFrecuencia cardíacaOtros autores: Malchaire, Jacques B.
