Sumario: This study present measurements of airbone dust and bacteria in the work-zone as well as in the personal breathing zone. These measurements were made within an extensive project undertaken to survey recent trands in the prevalence of respiratory symptoms in the Lancashire textile industry. A new hygiene standard based on personal rather than work-zone samples is considered
