Sumario: The proposed OSHA health standards represent the first time that the basic principles of industrial hygiene, i.e., recognition, evaluation, and control of occupational health hazards, have been clearly and specifically proposed as governmental regulations. These proposed standards strike a good balance between specificity as to the purpose and flexibility as to the method by which the employer can comply with the regulations
