<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La colaboración de consultores en el diseño de las estrategias de las empresas ha aumentado enormemente en los últimos tiempos, aunque numerosos directivos están empezando a cuestionarse si los resultados compensan el tiempo y el dinero invertidos. Los autores sostienen que clientes y consultores tienen que profundizar juntos en el hallazgo de nuevas formas de aumentar la productividad de su trabajo. Sugieren soluciones para que ambas partes centren su esfuerzo de colaboración en las cuestiones importantes, acepten una mayor responsabilidad a la hora de enfrentarse a las decisiones más difíciles, aumenten la rapidez y eficacia de sus esfuerzos y se aseguren de que los responsables de implantar los cambios tengan el grado de entendimiento y compromiso necesario para que dicho trabajo resulte eficaz. La alternativa por ellos propuesta está enfocada a mejorar la estratégica relación cliente-consultor</abstract>
