Title: Assessment of exposure to 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid in the chemical industry : results of a five year biological monitoring study / D. KnoppAuthor: Knopp, D.
Notes: Sumario: The suspected carcinogenic potential of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) has raised concern about the exposure of workers to it. By contrast with many applicator studies in agriculture and forestry, data on the occupational exposure to 2,4-D in herbicide production plants are limited. Generally, in these studies only ambient air concentration of, 2,4-D at workplace was measured. As the herbicide is absorbed readily through the skin, these measurements do not necessarily show the total amount absorbed into the body. By obtaining actual individual exposure data a better assessment of the potential health hazard to employees in chemical plants is possibleRelated records: En: Occupational and environmental medicine. - London and Margate. - nº 3, March 1994 ; p. 152-159Materia / lugar / evento: Medicina laboral Enfermedades profesionales Industria química Ácido 2,4-diclorofenoxiacético Herbicidas Biología Secondary titles: Título: Occupational and environmental medicine
