520  ‎$a‎The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of drop height in the performance of plyometric training. Vertical jumping ability is important in the performance of a variaty of sports events. Essentially, plyometric muscle training uses the stretch-shorten cycle which is a natural feature of many human movements. The stretch-shorten cycle involves a rapid pre-strech of the muscle by way of an eccentric contraction, and an immediate shortening as a concentratic contraction
