Notes: Sumario: The boundary integral equation method (BIEM) is a flexible solver for predicting three dimensional velocity fields into local exhaust hoods. A numerical validation of a computer program based on the BIEM shows excellent agreement with an analytic model for flow into a flanged rectangular hood. Theorical velocity contours generated for an unflanged rectangular hood compare favorably with empirical contoursRelated records: En: American Industrial Hygiene Association journal. - Akron, Ohio. - Vol. 50, nº 5, May 1989 ; p. 281-288Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminación atmosférica Contaminantes químicos Control de la contaminación Métodos de control Ecuaciones matemáticas Campanas de extracción BIEM Velocidad Otros autores: Miller, Cass T.
