<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Uno de los objetivos primordiales de la investigación epidemiológica en salud laboral es identificar una asociación causal entre un determinado factor de riesgo y el daño para la salud. No obstante, asignar adecuadamente el grado de exposición es uno de los aspectos todavía no resueltos por la epidemiología laboral. Por ello, con este artículo los autores pretenden estimular a los profesionales implicados en la salud laboral a una reflexión sobre el tema, ya que muchos de los criterios de exposición utilizados habitualmente no resistirían una crítica seria</abstract>
