Working postures of nurses in two wards were recorded by means of the Ovako Working posture Analysis System (OWAS). The study described here was conducted in the orthopaedic ward, because observations by the hospital's industrial medicine department seemed to indicate that sickness absenteeism caused by musculoskeletal problems was relatively extensive in the ward</dc:description>
