Sumario: A novel spectrophotometric method has been developed to estimated the total amounts of textile dyes on air monitoring filters in industrial hygiene applications. The method was developed in response to the complexity of the samples and the low levels of dyes which were anticipated to be present. The method developed here utilizes an average spectral absorptivity constant calculated from a given set of dyes over a specified wavelength interval
