520  ‎$a‎Tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) is a liquid phosphate ester used as a component in the production of airline hydraulic fluids. The material previously had been found not to produce delayed neurotoxicity based on studies performed in hens. However, based on findings reported in a 14-day rat study, and because of the potential for occupational exposures, TBP was tested in both acute and subchronic oral neurotoxicity studies in adult rats under the auspices of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) final test rule on the material
