KatrishenAuthor: Scordis, Nicos A.Publication: [S.l. : s.n.], 1995Physical description: 31 h. ; 30 cmNotes: Ponencia presentada en American Risk and Insurance Association Annual Meeting, Seattle, 1995Sumario: As domestic insurers become more global they will have to adapt their management, production and distribution systems. Such changes affect the operating costs of insurers. This study finds that scale economies are enjoyed by all global insurers with the exception of very large insurers which exhibit scale diseconomies. Product scope economies exist in the long term. Geographic scope economies become more prominent as global markets deregulate. A time series cross sectional sample of ninety-nine global insurers from 1984 through 1992 is usedMateria / lugar / evento: Internacionalización del seguroEmpresas de segurosEstrategia empresarialDistribución de segurosProducción de segurosConferenciasCongresosOtros autores: Katrishen, Frances A.
