<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The average cumulative-trauma-disorder (CTDs) affect muscles, tendons and nerves. They occur when people use awkward postures or excessive force in repeated movements. Unlike injuries such as sprains or strains, CTDs develop slowly and persist even after days of rest. To maintain worker productivity, you must prevent repetitive trauma. Employers now tackle the problem in a variety of ways. The method that has emerged as most effective is the use of ergonomics teams</abstract>
