<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La Ley 7-1998, de 13 de abril, ha incorporado al derecho español la Directiva 93/13/CEE, que persigue la finalidad de facilitar el establecimiento de un mercado único, protegiendo al ciudadano europeo en su faceta de consumidor, y por tanto de asegurado, frente a los posibles abusos que puedan realizarse en los contratos de adhesión y contratos tipo y, en particular, mediante las llamadas cláusulas generales del contrato, frecuentemente utilizadas por las compañías aseguradoras</abstract>
